Why can the US government easily find Americans who dare to grow and trade their own organic food in their own?

Organic Food
dumdum asked:

…homes and neighborhoods–yet they can’t find Bin Laden and the terrorists that they should be focusing on? Why does our government waste millions in tax dollars to harass Americans who dare to exercise their freedom be self-sufficient and seek healthy food instead of mass produced poisonous foods?

These are at least thousands of raids on private homes–for the “crime” of making and possessing healthy and affordable organic food and sharing their food with neighbors in co-ops:

Maybe what they did wasn’t strictly legal, but the government’s response was grossly out of proportion — clearly an abuse of power.

It’s Monsanto corporation behind all that BS about raids on people ‘growing their own’. It’s part of their ‘patented food seed’ project, they will soon be in control of every food crop on the planet. And if you dare ‘grow your own’ you are ‘infringing on their patents’..
You see, in the vid link, the former exec’s of Monsanto are now in key positions of the govt dealing with food, farming and regulations on such stuff.
If they can ‘bio-engineer’ a corn plant that by itself kills a caterpillar that eats any part of the corn plant, just how safe is that corn for US to eat?? Don’t you suppose that kind of information is suppressed?

Yes and if the government got involved they would spend billions on inspecting the food and making sure it was healthy. It would be months before anything grown would be approved for consumption.

Control the food. Control the population.

I’ve farmed for 45 years and I’ve never heard of anyone having their homes raided for producing their own organic foods. It has been proved over and over that organically grown foods are no more healthy, have no better taste but do produce far less than when commercial fertilizers are incorporated and are definitely not poisonous. For me I would have really appreciated saving the cost of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides had organically grown stuff produced but the fact is they don’t. It’s ok for a small home garden where when your garden fails to produce the amount needed you can run to the grocery store and buy the stuff I’ve produced. Back in the 1800’s and earlier there were mass migrations due to the land being depleted by organically grown crops regularly where the soil was left virtually useless for years. Commercial fertilizers now control that land use loss. Don’t be tricked by these zealots who say the things that you are putting forth. They are frauds.

Because your friends, neighbors, people in the co-op and/or relatives rat you out. Telling them what you are doing and where you are.
And since you are not constantly moving. Your not that hard to find. Plus you are located in territory that they control and can move freely in.

Bin Laden and the terrorists tend to be loyal to each other. Are constantly changing their hiding places. And tend to hide in areas where the US government is not welcome. Without starting another war anyway.

Plus when they kick your door in, you surrender. When they kick Bin Laden’s door in his people shoot back big time.

In other words you are a lot easier target. You didn’t say but I’m guessing you weren’t paying taxes on your trades. You might not amount to much by yourself. But they like to discourage that sort of thing. Nip it in the bud sort of speak.

well DumDum, these raids are not about USDA organics nor are any federal. But they are about people being told that are not following STATE and LOCAL food regulations and thus they get a visit by State and Local (usually county sheriff but also state dept af Agriculture officials and often county health depts.) but not federal.

in the case of the Stowers they had been contacted repeatedly by the Lorraine County Dept or Health via certified mail and phone calls about the fact the were not licensed to resell food, especially meat. the Stowers ignored the requests to be inspected and thus broke many laws and got busted for it. (I have been following this since it happened as I too live in Ohio and sell what I grow and a bit of reselling but unlike the Stowers I have nothing to hide and do not mind when the county folks come and do annual inspections.) people do not seem to realize what the Stowers were running was a grocery store where they made profit. I know the various co-ops I have belonged to over the years that re sold food ALL had to be licensed and go through inspection. The Stowers are not above the law in this case

So in light of the fact all these cases are state and not federal cases your question is moot. But perhaps we should send in state Depts. of Agriculture to find bin Ladin. Just tell them he is selling raw milk for human consumption, meat without a license or has livestock and has not registered his farm and livestock with NAIS.
